Welcome! The purpose of our blog is to focus on the current issue of increased gun violence in the United States. We believe that if stricter control laws for the sale of guns were to be put in place (i.e. more rigorous background checks), then there will be an overall decrease in the level of gun violence in the US.
In a few weeks we will be posting regularly about the topic of gun control in society today. The topics will include laws such as, the right-to-carry, required background checks, minimum age to carry firearms, and the types of guns that can be sold on the legal market. Within our posts we will take into account the oppositions views regarding the second amendment and the argument that criminals will find other illegal ways to obtain firearms.
